Lets get Nail Vicious!
Its not just the perfect shoe and bag to make an overall look pop. Your Nails are another key essential that can define your sense of style. Presently nude shades are running the town but for the upcoming spring/2011 these are some of the fashions and styles you will be see:
Moon Manicures: Sometimes you need more than a steady hand to get these moon shapes looking crisp. A nail art pen offers you more control if you can't manage a brush!

Metallics & Silver/Gold Foil: Paint a layer of clear basecoat and messily apply gold/silver foil onto your nail tips with a tweezer. Wait until dry, crumble the excess gold/silver foil off, then secure with a layer of clear topcoat. To wear the look with gold/silver polish, use a small piece of plastic to block the parts of your nail you don't want to paint, and randomly reposition it on your nail as you apply gold polish to the tips with short strokes.

Pop Art Graphics :For the ultimoate graphic nail, a good Minx salon would so greatly. Otherwise some opaque nail precision pens and go wild!
Do IT Neutral Baby: Don't match the nude shade too closely to your skin tone, lest you want to look like you have mannequin hands. Go a few shades lighter or darker, and choose a color with a high gloss.
Decals: Some heavy-duty nail glue will ensure your decals stay put. Layer a fast-drying topcoat over to set everything in place. If you want the look but aren't ready to commit, look for polishes with large pieces of glitter.

Invest In a Spanx! Pronto
Now I don't know where this epidemic of wearing clothing that doesn't appease your body shape, size, or portions has taken over but it must end. Ladies I know we all see the "perfect" bodies that grace the television and want to wear their clothes right off the backs of them but there comes a point where you have so say to self "that wouldn't flatter my body." Lately, Ive been seeing women wearing garments that totally don't accentuate their body. If you have that dreadful muffin top, cellulite in places unwanted, or more front than back; Invest in a SPANX. Don't be ashamed because little do you know those same celebrities with those "perfect" bodies wear them. Spanx are body-shaping undergarments that go from the bust line to the top of the knee. They're a well-kept celebrity fashion secret and mask any blemishes that need smoothing out for the seamless and bumpless look we're used to seeing on those celebrities in those clingy gowns on the red carpet.
Oprah has said that she doesn't even wear undergarments anymore, but wears the fashionable Spanx and has featured them on her television show, in her magazine, and on her website. "I love Spanx, I love Spanx. I wear Spanx every single day. I've given up panties. I wear Spanx," the talk-show host celebrity says.
So Ladies, lets stop this madness of making your body look unpleasing and unflattering and go grab you a SPANX!

Military Out ----> Biker Chic IN!
As we all know all all trends arent meant to stay. Standard pieces are just about the only peice of fashion that will remain, such as, V-neck t-shirts and skinny jeans. Now for all you Fashionista Mommy's here a heads up on the 2011 pre-spring trend that is to come. BIKER CHIC! Just when we were getting tired of the Military look the Biker trend steps in. This fashion consists of the Biker Jacket, Boot, Pants and a little surprise as you read on.
Now when we think of the Biker jacket, that boring black leather seems to come to mind but not with this 2011 look. This statement piece can be found coming in silvers, colours, muted colours, neutrals and etc. The key elements that help make this look over te top will be its zipped sleeves and quilting.
In 2011 the biker pant is no longet the average skin tight and black look. These leather motorcycle pants are going to grab attention in neutral tones, with mesh side-panels and an exposed, feature zippers. The bike chic trend it's all about the detail, and last season's plain leather leggings won't quite cut it. Panels, quilting and padding, and zips all add to the rough yet uber-chic and modern feel of the biker pant.
Now for my surprise!!!!! The BIKER SKIRT!. Yes is said it skirt. I cannot wait to squeeze into this quilted piece of art. The skirt is the alternative to the pant that puts the pazazz when paired with the jacket. The skirts will look similar to the jackets with the adoring quilted patterns and colours.
Lastly, the motorcycle boots. Now we have had this look with us for a while now so it wont be hard finding a decent pair to accentuate your overall look. But for the 2011 those plain boots wont cut it. This biker boot can not just be a average look, the boots also have to be a statement piece. So try to find a boot that can hold the look together on it own, something that ooses style, quality, and uniqueness. Having that concept will help to make this overall look pop.

NUDE, BOLD, SMokey, DefineED Oh MY!
Make-up trends this season are all about femininity and naturalness. Even if your doing a smokey eye, bold red lip, nude or defining your eyebrows, makeup should reflect one's personality and lifestyle, yet cover flaws and emphasize qualities.
For Fall/Winter 2010-2011 makeup trends nude is a go. Having a clean natural face, using beige, sheer shades and other natural hues is how to get that flawless look. Don’t be afraid to use light foundation or a tinted moisturizer to get a flawless skin look and to enhance it with light makeup, such as a nude lip or black eyeliner.

Now the thick well defined eyebrow has made its comeback for the fall/winter 2010-2011 trend. Contouring your eyebrows while keeping your makeup subtle and natural is how to achieve this look.
When people think of the smokey eye they always associate is with black and profound tones however there are other hues that can be used to obtain this. The brown smoky eye make up 2010 gives a slight more enchanting and mysterious effect with the help of the endless brown shades. The use of the proper color and textures would help us add a fascinating lure to our glimpse.
Statement lips are a vital part of the 2011 trends. Some of the most important fashion designers and makeup artists from the beauty industry have begun recognizing the need for bolder lip color choices. Red is classic, but can be too strong a look for daytime. Think in shades of burgundy or plum and save the red for special occasions like holiday parties.

We LOVE the THIGH HIGHS!
While many of us will be wearing classical silhouettes and subdued colours we'll all be in need of making them pop; after all, doesn't every fashionistamommy want to stand out from the crowd?
That 'stand out' image is just about to get a whole lot easier, thanks to the hottest trend for shoes in 2010: thigh high boots.
Over-the-knee and thigh-high are "hands down" the hottest shoe trend for women in the Autumn (Fall)/Winter season, but while they utter 'sex' make sure they don't do it in the wrong way. Ladies, we do not want to be taken as those after 12 street walkers. So to avoid such thoughts; try to advoid two main things with over-the-knee or thigh-high boots: chunky heels and a high-sheen patent finish.
