Blend Those Colors Ladies

This post was inspired by ITZMELISSARICH, after looking at her fabulous website earlier. Too many times have I seen women walking around with a face that has not been blended well. Not blending can really make your makeup look patchy in some places and ruin the overall effect.

Learn How to Blend Colors: Some Professional Makeup Tips

Let's start with how to blend colors for your eye shadow. Most of the time you will usually be blending only two colors. First apply the base. Start from the inside of your eye lash and progress to the outside. Ensure a thin even coat to avoid buildup.

Next apply the lighter of your two chosen colors. A technique used by professional makeup artists is to dab gently with the fingers, in a tapping motion, using your ring finger. The ring finger is said to have the softest padding. So the contact with your eye is gentle and the color is applied evenly. Or a brush can be used in the same fashion.

Now you can apply the darker color. Start from the end of the eye and only go up to the middle.

The last step is to use to apply an even lighter color along the upper part of your eye. The motion of the brush will really blend those colors in together and the colors will seamlessly flow into each other.

Blendind more than one color, has the same principles and techniques.
