Rent the Runway was created by Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss. The co-founders met while attending Harvard Business School. They created the business when Jenn watched her sister Becky struggle with a ‘closet full of clothes but nothing to wear’ moment.
Jenn told Jenny about Becky’s problem, and, since they were in business school, they started creating a company.
